Dr Franny (as she likes to be called) moved back to Nova Scotia recently as she grew up in Wallace, NS but has been in Maine practicing small animal medicine and surgery for the past 7 years. She is very excited to have moved home with her husband Jeff, her horse crazy toddler Eleanor and their two dogs Evie and Fiona. In December of 2021, Dr. Franny and her husband Jeff also welcomed a new bundle of joy to the world – sweet baby Harriet!

Dr Franny & her family moved next door to their family farm in Wallace, and their fur family is expanding very quickly and includes cats, dogs, a barn full of horses and a peacock! Franny and her family are looking forward to being a part of the family farm again, and to help care for their Haflinger horses, and crew of assorted ponies and miniature horses!

Dr Franny is most definitely a morning person, and certainly enjoys her morning coffees! When she is not at work, Dr Franny is hoping to get back into running! Prior to Eleanor and the pandemic, Dr Franny and Jeff joined a running club and tried to run a race once a month. Their favourite races include wearing silly costumes and having fun themes! Please, if you have any recommendations for fun races pass them along when you are in visiting Dr Franny at the hospital!

In Dr Franny’s down time, reading and binge-watching TV happen quite frequently, but now there are a few more toddler shows and books on that list! Dr Franny’s weekend plans include time spent hiking, camping, tackling home and farm projects, and spending time with family and friends. Dr. Franny is truly excited to be back home with her family and she can’t wait to meet and care for your furry family members!
